The President (E) of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, assured this Friday that street mobilization and citizen unity are “essential” to generate internal pressure against Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
“Like the region, which is unified in supporting our cause and increasing pressure on the dictatorship, Venezuelans must also remain united,” Guaidó said through his personal Twitter account.
The president explained that the moment in which Venezuela is going through and the search for freedom “depends on each one of us, as a single country that asks for change.” He also referred to the measures agreed to at the 30th Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of States of the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Aid (TIAR) and stressed that the countries that make up TIAR must see Venezuelan citizens united by democracy.
“Mobilization is fundamental, but to achieve it we need the unity of all Venezuelans. The opportunity is much stronger than the doubts,” he concluded.
