The President (E) of the Republic, Juan Guaidó, participated this Saturday in an assembly of citizens in Bello Monte, Baruta municipality. The concentration was within the framework of Operation Freedom and was attended by several deputies of the National Assembly (AN).
Guaido began his speech by saying that the struggle between citizens seeking freedom has not been in vain and that “today everything we have done has a meaning and that is Venezuela.”
“Contrast that with an usurper between four walls and we here among friends with my family. We have to face the people and walk the streets of Venezuela freely and openly because we can face our people.”
The president of the AN, said he will continue taking risks to end the usurpation and stop the deep humanitarian crisis that Nicolás Maduro’s regime maintains: “We have solutions to offer, even with the risks that this has, for example, going to Colombia to seek humanitarian help for our people, and I’ll tell you something, despite the controversy, the risks we took that day to seek humanitarian aid were worth it.”
“We are going to assume the risks that are necessary for Venezuela, let them be certain about it!”
Guaido compared the Colombian government which arrested narcoterrorists while here the dictatorship continues to provide protection for them in Venezuelan territory. “They must say where the FARC dissidents are hiding here in Caracas”, he demanded.
“You are a thief, Maduro”, Guaido said, referring to the state embezzlement that the regime has made with the companies that were expropriated and the oil revenue that was not distributed to the Venezuelan people.
The President (E) recalled that the Organization of American States (OAS) supports the democratic movement in Venezuela and accepted the incorporation of the country into the Inter-American Treaty of Reciprocal Assistance (TIAR).
“As I said from day 1, we will be in all the fighting grounds because we are not afraid for Venezuela, for our country, to end the suffering of our people, enough is enough!” Guaido said.
The President said that with the street movement that has been maintained many things have been achieved, including international pressure and recognition of the government in charge as the legitimate administration.
