The consulting firm De Vengoechea & Associates presented a report on the protest convened by President (E) Juan Guaidó. According to the analysis, it was recorded that this Saturday about 750,000 Venezuelans mobilized throughout the country.
According to the report, the protest was able to activate 141 points in Venezuela and 35 more zones in other cities around the world such as Miami, in the state of Florida, United States.
“This mobilization had the main characteristic that it occurred within parameters of very low external violence, that is to say, the presence of State Security Agencies (OSE) was reported in 38 localities (…), that is to say, they were deployed in 26% of the territory”, reads the document published by the consultant.
Censorship and communications blockade were evident on a large scale. Social networks and Internet transmission media were blocked by Nicolás Maduro’s regime, a practice that is very common by the dictatorship when there is a march called by the democratic alternative.
The same report indicated that the call to protest will increase while the deficiencies derived from public services, labor demands and the economic crisis continue to grow.
“The social demonstration, the certain possibility of people mobilizing and remaining active, and also coordinated with the interim presidency, is a reality, which for now, must be used to increase pressure, and therefore the mobilization can not be dismissed,” the report concluded.
