The Central Hospital of Maracay used to be the main health centre in the state of Aragua until the crisis caused by Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship enveloped it in the crisis. The patients in there have suffered for years devastating consequences that attempt against their treatments and their lives.
Neurology patients at this hospital face a lack of staff, medical supplies and even water shortages. The situation is getting worse by the day as their health deteriorates.
Dialysis services have been crippled by a lack of staff, said Pedro Villalobos, a neurology patient at the health center.
So far, more than 100 people have been affected by the precariousness of the attention. Patients and their families have said they have gone to the governor’s office and other state authorities, but have not received any answers.
