The Federation of University Student Unions of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), reiterated its call to march peacefully this Thursday to Fuerte Tiuna.
The president of the FCU-UCV, David Sosa, said that the students’ walk to Fort Tiuna, aims to call the FANB (Bolivarian National Armed Forces) to side with the Constitution.
The secretary general of the FCU-UCV, Lustay Franco, added that “we also protest because we feel a deep conviction for Venezuela, we don’t want to leave, we want to make a life here,” she said.
This march is also part of the national mobilization agenda called by the president in charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, who last Saturday asked Venezuelans to remain in the streets to demand the departure of Nicolás Maduro.
The Student Movement of the UCV will march in the framework of the celebration of the Day of the University Student. This mobilization will also be accompanied by student movements from other regions and universities throughout the country.
