Voluntad Popular Party rejects and demerits the version offered this Friday by Nicolás Maduro’s regime on the vile murder of the leader responsible for the Party in the Sucre municipality of Miranda State, Edmundo “Pipo” Rada, in which it intends to portray the unfortunate killing as a passion crime in its nature.
From Voluntad Popular we insist that no one can believe a dictatorship accustomed to murdering, torturing and repressing those who think differently. A regime that launched Fernando Albán from a public building, which tortured to death the Frigate Captain Acosta Arévalo and then sadistically displayed him in an unfair trial, which slaughtered the inspector Óscar Pérez with a group of people and that he has killed hundreds of Venezuelans during anti-government protests in recent years.
We state to the officials of the regime: crimes against humanity do not prescribe and in Venezuela justice will reach both those who give the orders and those who execute them. to these officials we say: It is time to fulfill your commitment to Venezuelans and our country, turn your back on the regime and enforce the Constitution and laws.
We reaffirm that Edmundo “Pipo” Rada was a family man, exemplary father, hardworking and committed to the struggle for his municipality and his country. He served as a social leader in his community within the Petare neighborhood, a place that for many years was difficult for opponents of the Chavista regime to access. For his impeccable struggle he managed to be a councilor in the municipality of Sucre, a position he held at the hands of his neighbors, without fear of the consequences that his struggle could bring.
Our municipal leader led, weeks before his death, a protest against the actions of the Special Armed Forces of the Bolivarian National Police (Faes), during which officials photographed him. So far, the Faes have acted as an agency for repression of the dictatorship and violator human rights, to which more than 700 murders are attributed.
We know it is customary of the regime to assemble pots (falsification of evidence) through false investigations to discredit the members of Voluntad Popular the political organization, which has been brutally persecuted since in 2014 when our leader Leopoldo López denounced the serious crisis that our country is experiencing today. That is why the version of the regime lacks legitimacy for us and for Venezuelans.
Timely we urgently requested an international investigation of this case and we met with the representatives of the High Commission of Human Rights in our country, we ask the international community to increase the pressure against this human rights violator regime in Venezuela and we reject the presence of Maduro’s regime in the Human Rights Council of the United Nations (UN) when it slaughters its own people.
This political party urges Venezuelans not to fall into this new deception of the dictatorship and rise up with more #FuerzayFe go out this November 16th throughout the country, attending the call of the Venezuelan president Juan Guaidó, and from the streets of country reject the repressive, undemocratic and inefficient regime of Nicolás Maduro.
