The state of Zulia has been suffering a serious fuel crisis for more than sixty days. According to the inhabitants of the sector, the amount of gasoline they dispense for the entity is insufficient for the existing vehicle fleet.
Queues of more than four hours must be made by the neighbors of the localities, in the middle of a thermal sensation of 54 degrees C, to be able to restock fuel. However, according to several complaints from those affected, those who pay underhand or are known to the authorities present at the service stations, get gasoline without restrictions.
In addition to the failures in the service stations, the Zulian region is going through a severe electrical crisis that began more than a year ago, added to the scarcity of water and hyperinflation that has annihilated the purchasing power of the Zulianos.
“For the past two years, water has not reached my home, in the Barrio la Mano de Dios in the municipality of San Francisco”, said Antonio Oliva, a resident of the municipality of San Francisco.
The terrible policies of the dictatorship have kept the people of Zulia dwindling. The inhabitants of the entity have been forced to collect water in ravines, which leads to devastating consequences, insecurity and unhealthiness.
