The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, held a meeting this Thursday with the President (E) of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó.
“It is an honor to receive President (E) Juan Guaidó at the OAS to exchange on the social, political, and human rights crisis that Venezuela is experiencing,” said Almagro through his personal Twitter account.
The Secretary added that there is still much work to be done to achieve Venezuela’s freedom.
“In Venezuela there is a lot of work to be done to recover democracy, institutions and the full validity of human rights in the country, but we know that in the hands of President (E) Guaidó there will be a positive outcome for a people who have suffered a lot,” he concluded.
On Thursday, the national president also held meetings with the Administrator of the International Development Agency, Mark Green, the Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, and the Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi.
