The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, denounced the severe ecological damage being caused by Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship in Venezuela.
“The dictatorship in Venezuela is not only destroying the rights and democracy of the people but also their natural resources,” Almagro said after the NGO CSIS warned about the environmental damage generated by illegal mining in the south of the country.
In addition, the head of the Organization of American States lamented that “the ecological massacre that the country is experiencing is irreversible.”
