Ambassador Viera-Blanco held a meeting with the former Canadian Ambassador to Venezuela, Ben Rowswell, to assess the humanitarian situation in Venezuela and make approaches to organize, guide and support the Venezuelan diaspora in Canada.
Ambassador Ben Rowswell has been a great collaborator of Venezuela as President of the Think Tank, Canadian International Council (CIC), that defends human rights, democracy and civil liberties.
Venezuela is in search of diplomatic solutions within the framework of a political negotiation to alleviate the burden of the humanitarian crisis, the exodus of Venezuelans, and the health, food and security crises.
Ambassador Viera-Blanco is aware of the needs of Venezuelans both in the country and abroad and looks for special immigration programs, academic shelters and sponsorship for our compatriots.
“We want to thank Ben Rowswell for his solidarity with our country, his firm and unwavering support, and for fraternally granting his diplomatic experience to achieve projects in different areas. A man who knows perfectly the magnitude of our crisis and its impact on the American continent,” declared Viera-Blanco.
