The Chilean government published Tuesday night, resolution No. 3,042, exempt from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile, which issued instructions for the granting of safe pasage to Venezuelan citizens.
The resolution instructs the officials of the Consulates of Chile abroad to grant safe passages to Venezuelan nationals who do not have a valid passport, or, issued in accordance with exempt resolution No. 2,087 of 2019 of the Ministry of Interior and Public Security, in order to facilitate reunification with family members residing in Chile. Family members are understood as spouses and unmarried children under age or in their care.
Likewise, it is confirmed through this resolution that Venezuelans who wish to apply for a Democratic Responsibility Visa from outside the territory of Venezuela (and outside the Republic of Chile), must prove that their stay in the country from where they are make the request does not exceed 90 days, and must present a Travel Certificate or its equivalent in that country.
