The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, and the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (UN), Gabriela Cuevas, denounced the attack of Nicolás Maduro’s regime against the mother of the Deputy of the National Assembly (NA), Armando Armas.
Almagro informed about the event and labeled the regime’s officials as “repressive forces”.
“The dictatorship must answer for these crimes,” insisted the OAS Secretary General through his personal Twitter account.
For his part, Cuevas recalled that the Venezuelan dictatorship continues to attack the nation’s democratic leaders.
“Persecuting the Deputies is a very serious matter, but persecuting their families is atrocious,” he said.
This Saturday morning, officials of the Maduro regime raided the house of the mother of Congressman Armando Armas, located in Lechería, Anzoátegui State.
Armas reported that an alleged CONAS commission was taking his mother, Nidia Cuartin, 76, to “testify”.
