The Commissioner of the Organization of American States (OAS) for the Venezuelan Migrant and Refugee crisis, David Smolansky, stated his support for the Cuban people fighting for their freedom.
“Today we accompany the Cuban people on their island, and throughout the world, who cry out to live in a free, democratic nation with opportunities,” said Mr. Smolansky in a message released through his social network accounts.
The Venezuelan representative to the OAS assured that the fight for freedom in Cuba is the same fight that Venezuelans carry out.
“Homeland and Life!” He concluded.
Cuban activists called for new demonstrations for this November 15th. Citizens will seek to take to the streets to show their discontent, which was already expressed in the historic July demonstrations.
