The deputy to the national assembly of Ecuador, Juan Flores, affirmed that Nicolás Maduro showed that he is behind a plan to upend the institutions and democracies of the countries in the region, this after violent protests were carried out in Ecuador, Colombia and Chile. He warned that they use the social demands of nations to undermine legitimately constituted governments.
“We see with deep concern and alert the international community about the intentions of Nicolás Maduro that manifest a regional destabilization plan in the region that we have no doubt was elaborated in the São Paulo Forum”, said CREO party president of Ecuador for Latin America and the Caribbean.
He recommended that governments apply joint measures to curb the violent events that perturb the peace of societies, “the joint application of the TIAR and the Roldós Doctrine would be timely to end the dictatorship and the suffering of Venezuelans.”
The accusations were made by Flores after a national television broadcast by Nicolás Maduro where celebrated the violent protests in Chile and assured that they will continue throughout the world.
