Guarequena Gutiérrez, former ambassador to Chile, made clear on Wednesday that the reasons for her resignation were economic and migratory, since the current political situation in Venezuela does not allow diplomatic representatives abroad to receive salaries.
“During this period I have not had a salary, nor what that entails: contributions, inclusion in the health service in Chile and being able to opt for a permanent visa after the necessary time has passed,” explained the former representative of the presidency in charge of Venezuela .
“I came to a country with immigration policies that those of us who fight for the rule of law in our land must abide by. And that is the path I will take, somewhat long, we know that the Department of Foreign Affairs has digitized processes and that everything helps so that immigrants in Chile can be regulated in reasonable terms,” she explained
Gutierrez also said that Guaidó’s administration is already looking for her successor.
Likewise, she emphasized that she continues to support and back Juan Guaidó and the National Assembly in their quest to achieve freedom for Venezuela.
