The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR) urged Nicolás Maduro’s regime to disclose the complete list of soldiers deprived of liberty for political reasons.
The organization also demanded that the Venezuelan dictatorship report on the process of each one and their whereabouts and about their relatives and their defense.
Similarly, the IACHR urged Maduro’s regime to allow an independent medical evaluation to all those involved.
Finally, the commission recalled that “the judicial guarantees and international obligations acquired under the Inter-American Convention to Prevent and Punish Torture must be observed at all times.”
