The Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, insisted this Monday that the allied democratic countries must continue to fight for Venezuela’s freedom.
“We must recover democracy in Venezuela,” he insisted through his personal Twitter account.
He also recalled that Nicolas Maduro leads a “criminal regime” that endangers the entire region due to his alliances with non-democratic countries and the number of Venezuelans who have had to flee from the dictatorship,
“It is a criminal regime that affects regional stability by generating humanitarian crisis, a migration crisis, supporting terrorism and drug trafficking and committing crimes against humanity,” he said.
This Monday was held a new session of the OAS General Assembly. The plenary session was attended by the Presidential Commissioner for Foreign Affairs, Julio Borges, who warned about the danger of the permanence in power of Nicolas Maduro’s dictatorship.
Debemos recuperar la democracia en Venezuela. Es un régimen criminal q afecta la estabilidad regional x generar crisis humanitaria, crisis migratoria, apoya el terrorismo y narcotrafico y comete crímenes de lesa humanidad
