The U.S. Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Michael Kozak, rejected the appointment of the new National Electoral Council (CNE) leadership by the illegitimate Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) in the hands of Nicolas Maduro’s regime.
“These are unconstitutional actions,” he said Wednesday through his personal Twitter account.
Kozak recalled that in the last two weeks, the dictatorship also stole the name and brand of two major political parties, Acción Democrática and Primero Justicia, and replaced their leadership with Maduro’s “lackeys”.
Likewise, the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, added that Venezuelans deserve the best way out of the political crisis the country is going through. He explained that to reach democracy, Venezuela needs free, transparent and democratic elections.
