Republican and Democratic leaders in the U.S. Congress expressed their rejection of the attack by Nicolas Maduro’s regime against Voluntad Popular and other Venezuelan democratic parties fighting for the country’s freedom.
The Republican leader of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Michael McCaul, challenged the Supreme Court’s illegitimate announcement in which it suspended the board of directors of Voluntad Popular.
“The international community must unite to condemn Maduro’s continued attacks on Venezuela’s democratic opposition. These acts only promote the illegitimacy of the regime,” McCaul said.
The Republican representative also reiterated his support for President (E) Juan Guaidó and the “Venezuelan people in their struggle for freedom.”
Likewise, Eliot Engel, democratic leader of the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee expressed his indignation at the Venezuelan dictatorship’s onslaught.
“Another shameless and undemocratic effort by Maduro’s dictatorship,” he added.
This Wednesday, the illegitimate Supreme Court of Justice, managed by Maduro’s dictatorship, suspended the board of directors of Voluntad Popular and announced an “ad hoc” new board with bought politicians who defrauded the citizens who voted for them to fight the dictatorship.
