The Inter-American Commission on Human Rights on Wednesday expressed its concern about the disappearance of Venezuelan journalist Roland Carreño.
“We express our concern about the alleged arbitrary detention and forced disappearance of journalist and Voluntad Popular leader Roland Carreño, along with Elias Rodriguez and Jefferson Sarcos, on Oct. 26th” said the IACHR/MESEVE and its IACHR RELEASE through a message on its official Twitter account.
They also indicated that, according to public information, the three persons were intercepted and put into an unmarked van.
“So far, the authorities have not provided information on their whereabouts” they added.
Finally, the IACHR/MESEVE and its RELEVANT urged the authorities to provide complete information on the whereabouts of these people.
“If they are in the custody of the regime, they should be brought before a competent and independent court, in accordance with judicial guarantees” they concluded.
