The Secretary of State of the United States, Antony Blinken, assured that the administration of Joe Biden supports the draft resolution that condemns the regime of Nicaragua, Cuba and Venezuela.
Mr. Blinken affirmed during the OAS General Assembly that the United States condemns and demands the release of all political prisoners of the aforementioned totalitarian regimes.

The Secretary of State condemned that citizens are forced to leave their countries in search of a better future risking their lives. “Many people who were unduly detained remain in detention,” he said.
“And the right to choose their leaders, as could be the case in Venezuela,” where he calls for the release of “all US citizens who have been illegally detained,” he closed.
