The acting undersecretary of state for Western Hemisphere affairs of the United States, Michael Kozak, supported the position of the International Contact Group and the European Union in the face of the electoral fraud that Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship intends to commit.
“We could not agree more with the International Contact Group and the European Union. Simply delaying fraudulent elections in Venezuela will not be enough”, affirmed Kozak in a message spread through social networks.
The U.S. diplomat said that “legitimacy can only be obtained through free and fair presidential and parliamentary elections.”
“Venezuelans deserve no less,” he ended.
