U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, Michael Kozak, said his country continues to work for the restoration of the rule of law in Venezuela.
He said the United States is working with a global coalition to rebuild the economy in Venezuela and achieve freedom.
“The United States is working with a global coalition of countries to support the Venezuelan people in their struggle to restore democracy and rebuild their economy,” he said through his Twitter account.
The Undersecretary denounced the increase in violence and repression by dictator Nicolás Maduro and the great crisis suffered by the Venezuelan people under “corrupt misgovernment.”
