Uruguay’s Foreign Minister Ernesto Talvi said that his government’s international goal is to find a democratic solution to the political crisis in Venezuela.
Talvi explained during his inauguration at the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that his government will work to achieve a way out through dialogue and “free elections” in Venezuela.
“You know where we stand on Venezuela. It is a regime that systematically violates human rights, we are not going to silence our voice on that,” he said
Talvi was a candidate for the presidency of the country for the Colorado Party in the elections of last October, he assumed this Monday as the new foreign minister for the period 2020-2025.
