The National Security Council of the United States catalogued the arbitrary detention of the Venezuelan journalist, Ronald Carrero, as one more proof of the human rights violations committed by Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship against the Venezuelan people.
“The “arrest” of Roland Carreño is one more proof of what Venezuelans know and a recent UN report confirmed it: the corruption and brutality of Maduro’s regime,” they highlighted in a publication divulged through their official Twitter account.
Similarly, the U.S. body affirmed that “Venezuela deserves leaders freely and fairly elected who respect human rights and the rule of law.”
