The Deputies to the legitimate National Assembly, Williams Dávila and Olivia Lozano, held a meeting with the political leaders Óscar Zuluaga and Alberto López, where they discussed the proposal of the National Salvation Agreement to solve the crisis in Venezuela.
“We talked about the reopening of the border, the free zone on the border, support for the President in Charge of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, and the legitimate National Assembly,” Dávila reported in a message posted on his social network accounts after the meeting.
Likewise, the legislators shared an optimistic but realistic vision about the negotiations that are taking place in Mexico, which are aimed at holding free and fair presidential elections in Venezuela.
FIRM SUPPORT FROM THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY
The president of the Foreign Policy Commission of the National Assembly, Olivia Lozano, highlighted the support that the National Salvation Agreement has had by the U.S., the EU and now the International Contact Group.
“They are firm in demanding the organization of credible, free and transparent elections in accordance with the constitutional framework, as a solution to the serious political and humanitarian crisis that Venezuela is experiencing,” she concluded.
