With the fundamental objective of managing to protect the country’s assets and pull out the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana International CA (CVG) from abandonment, the plenary session of the National Assembly approved on Tuesday the appointment of a new Board of Directors and Administrative Board Ad Hoc, which will have among its functions to work to exclude this important national company from the international sanctions that fall upon Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
The Board of Directors of this entity was formed by Enrique Castells, Dich Souki, Fernando Goyeneche, Ricardo Echeverría and Roberto Arredondo. These designations were made after the nomination before the parliament by the president in charge of the Republic of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó, through an agreement in which, among other aspects, it is indicated that a plan oriented to find new sources of supplies and raw materials should also be developed, at the lowest possible cost, until the usurpation ceases and the national supply is restored.
Likewise, the appointed directive must carry out the necessary audit that allows to determine the patrimonial state of the company and in particular to establish the facts that allow to investigate the possible irregularities committed that have affected the interests of the country in order to make the necessary complaints.
These members will have special protection from the Republic for the acts they carry out in the exercise of their functions, as to possible international litigation against their persons, as well as they will enjoy immunity and protection in the national territory during the current exceptional period and until the cessation of the usurpation of the presidency.
The approved appointments are based on the Statute that governs the Transition to Democracy to restore the validity of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which gives powers to the president in charge of intervening State companies on a temporary basis during the current usurper’s regime .
Among the arguments declared for this intervention and new appointments is the fact that the National Assembly reiterates non recognition of the electoral farce held on May 20th, 2018, in which all electoral guarantees were breached, resulting in the usurpation of the power by Nicolás Maduro, which is why all his acts are null.
The bad economic policies of this usurping regime and its powers are also pointed out, in addition to the diversion of the nation’s resources to maintain the illegitimate regime, which has the people going through hardships of all kinds.
As a result of this usurpation and in accordance with the constitution and the Law that governs the transition as a pact of coexistence for civic life, the AN assumed with these appointments the commitment to defend all Venezuelans, the Republic and their heritage.
In this same session convened on an extraordinary basis, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassadors of Venezuela were appointed before the Republics of Israel and Greece, Pynchas Brener Cukier and Eduardo Fernando Massieu, respectively.
The new board of directors of Monomeros Colombo-Venezolano was also appointed, chaired by Carmen Elisa Hernandez, and integrated by Javier Linares, Ramon Crespo, Guillermo Pérez, Jorge Yañez, as General Manager and Nelson Della Rocca together with Luis Hurtado.
On other instance, Melvin Villafañe and Andrés Arevalo were included in the board of directors of PEQUIVEN.
