The Parliamentary Block of Bolivar State, representing the majority of its citizens, denounces before Venezuela and the international community the irresponsibility of Nicolás Maduro’s regime who, together with Justo Noguera and other municipal authorities, is managing the crisis and the impact of Covid-19 on the State.
The east, south and west of our state border the sister republics of Brazil, Guyana and Colombia, which means that our region has a living border and constant trade, but due to the closure of the borders as a result of the pandemic, these areas have become on the Venezuelan side an abandoned territory where the epidemiological protocols dictated by the World Health Organization (WHO) are not met and could generate a potential risk for our State and the entire country.
The impact of the coronavirus crisis is exacerbated by the complex humanitarian emergency that the country is experiencing due to the destruction of the public health system, the lack of public services such as water, electricity, transportation, medicine and food, the serious shortage of gasoline and the paralysis of the regional productive apparatus, which is based on the basic companies of the CVG.
Our citizens are affected day by day by the high indexes of violence and insecurity, particularly in the mining areas where the State has disappeared, leaving in the hands of criminal gangs all the social control of the thousands of Venezuelans who have their livelihood in these activities, being the object of abuses, human rights violations and massacres by repressive bodies and paramilitary groups.
In view of the above, we will undoubtedly not commit the naivety of asking for a rectification of the tyrannical and usurper regime of Nicolás Maduro, because he is responsible for the crisis suffered by all Venezuelans.
Therefore, we urge our people to accompany and work together with the President of the National Assembly and (E) of the Republic, Juan Guaido Márquez, in the establishment of a National Emergency Government that will conclude with the consultation of all our citizens in free and transparent presidential elections.
