The Deputy of the National Assembly (NA), Omar Barboza, referred to the economic measures announced by Nicolas Maduro’s regime in view of the arrival of the Coronavirus pandemic in Venezuela.
“In view of this prolonged crisis suffered by the Venezuelan people, today worsened by the threat of the Coronavirus, in a country destroyed by corruption and incapacity, the best contribution Maduro can make to the solution of the very serious national problems is to abandon usurpation,” said the deputy on Monday.
Barboza added that any announcement of economic or other measures by Nicolas Maduro will affect the country, “because of his lack of legitimacy and credibility, which makes one doubt about his intention, whether to prevent the risk of the pandemic or to camouflage his status as a usurper.”
The deputy for the state of Zulia explained that the regime must allow for all the solidarity that Venezuela can receive from the international community given that the nation is going through a humanitarian crisis.
Likewise, Barboza reiterated that the dictatorship represented by Maduro is a “great obstacle” for Venezuela.
