The first vice-president of the National Assembly, Juan Pablo Guanipa, held Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship responsible for the proliferation of COVID-19 in Venezuela on Saturday.
“We blame the regime for the proliferation of COVID-19 in Venezuela. The health crisis the country is going through due to its inability to respond will not be solved only by closing the borders,” Guanipa said through his official Twitter account.
In this sense, the parliamentarian assured that the regime continues to violate the human rights of Venezuelan citizens.
“Health workers have been arrested for denouncing the appalling conditions in hospitals and demanding medical supplies to be able to treat patients with COVID-19”, he said.
