The deputy of the National Assembly (NA), Juan Pablo Guanipa, denounced this Saturday corruption in the Guarenas Metro project. From the Guarenas-Guatire inter-communal highway, he described the unfinished work as “The temple of corruption of Maduro’s dictatorship.”
“This work began in 2007, had a total cost of 2 billion dollars, and should have been ready in 2012. We are in 2020, thirteen years later and there is no sign that this project can be built,” recalled the first vice president of the NA.
Guanipa recalled that in addition to the money that was supposedly invested at the beginning of the project, they have spent almost 8 billion dollars each time they decide to restart the work.
“This is a further demonstration of Nicolas Maduro’s corruption. We have to intensify the fight to get rid of these criminals,” he added.
During the tour, Guanipa was accompanied by Carlos Ocariz, the legitimate governor of Miranda state.
“Almost 800,000 Mirandinos have to suffer every day to get to Caracas,” Ocariz said.
