The Deputy of the National Assembly Guillermo Palacios, denounced that more than 500 workers of the Pío Tamayo sugar mill in El Tocuyo, Lara state, will be fired after its privatization.
The Parliamentarian explained that this is a blow to the family economy of all employees and that it is much more difficult within the crisis that the country is experiencing.
“This leaves all these families on the street and without real assets because of hyperinflation and exposed to Covid-19,” he said this Saturday through his personal Twitter account.
Palacios blamed Nicolás Maduro’s regime for this measure that took away part of their salaries from workers.
“Maduro is responsible for this stew (corrupt scheme) that violated the rights of workers by imposing on them a model that confiscated their savings, disguising them as partners in a dying business due to the application of policies harmful to national production,” he concluded.
“Maduro es responsable de este guiso que vulneró los derechos de los trabajadores al imponerles un modelo que confiscó sus ahorros disfrazándolos de socios de un negocio en extinción por aplicación de políticas lesivas a la producción Nacional”, concluyó.
