The deputy of the National Assembly, Marco Aurelio Quiñones, assured that through the Popular Consultation measures could be implemented aimed at reducing poverty in the country.
Quiñones denounced the serious economic crisis that the country is going through, and which is constantly worsening, affecting the pockets of Venezuelans generating more hunger and misery.
“A kilo of meat costs a little over $3.77, the same amount our elderly received as ‘aguinaldo’ (Christmas bonus) and payment for November and December,” he reported.
The parliamentarian said that the dictatorship only provides hunger and humiliation to the country. “We have to tear down this system of pain and misery,” he said.
The deputy for Anzoátegui State reiterated the importance of the Popular Consultation as a constitutional instrument to advance in a system that puts an end to the crisis that the country is going through.
Last Tuesday, the Organizing Committee of the Popular Consultation issued a statement to announce the date of participation in this mechanism, which will have two phases. The first phase: Digital Participation, which will begin between December 5th and 12th, 2020 and the second phase: Face-to-Face Demonstration, which will take place on December 12th, 2020, complying with biosecurity measures.
