Carlos Valero, a deputy in the National Assembly, revealed that the new price of gasoline imposed by Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship is one of the most expensive in the world in relation to the salary earned by Venezuelans.
“The regime increases the price of gasoline when there is more poverty, and in addition, it is set in dollars despite the fact that more than 90% of Venezuelans do not have a fixed income in foreign currency,” the parliamentarian denounced.
Valero explained that if you compare the price of gasoline with the minimum wage, Venezuela is among the countries with the least accessible gasoline in the world.
Minimum wage = $4
40-litre petrol tank = $20 or 100,000 (with the patria system)
The parliamentarian for A New Era warned that “Maduro is taking advantage of the needs of the people to impose his system of blackmail and coercion.
“The regime’s measures are discriminatory and will not solve the serious crisis,” he said.
