María Gabriela Hernández, president of the Environmental Commission of the National Assembly (NA), thanked environmental activist Greta Thunberg for denouncing the serious ecocide underway in Venezuela thanks to Maduro’s regime.
“Thank you Greta Thunberg, in the name of Venezuelans and the National Assembly. Your adherence to our environmentalist cause is very important,” she said.
Hernández denounced that the irresponsibility of the regime throughout the Orinoco mining arc and the oil industry, has devastated the national parks, the Amazon and the sources of natural life in Venezuela.
Greta Thunberg spoke out through her social networks about the serious oil spill produced by PDVSA off the Venezuelan coast. “No official information has been given,” she denounced.
Congresswoman Hernandez has warned that the ecological accident caused by the regime in Morrocoy National Park implies serious damage to the interests of the nation for current and future generations.
“This ecosysyem is unique on Earth, what happened affects environmental law. Even beyond our borders,” she said.
