The deputies Marco Aurelio Quiñones and Karim Vega have denounced the serious situation that the localities Táchira State are going through due to the heavy rains that the entity is enduring.
Congresswoman Vega reported that the heavy rains that began last Saturday, November 7th, have flooded the sector El Cafetal, in Rubio, Junín municipality in the state.
“The municipality is under water because of the overflow of the Carapo River. The situation is alarming,” he said.
Quiñones expressed that in view of the desperation of the Venezuelans because of the situation they have tried to reach Colombia, defying the forces of nature and in the midst of the pandemic and the siege of the dictatorship.
“To the disaster caused by the overflowing of the rivers, we must add the desperate attempt of a large number of Venezuelans to emigrate,” he said.
The municipalities most affected by the rains were San Diego, Santa Barbara, El Cafetal, Cañaveral. The entity’s media have reported the disappearance of two people and the death of a woman due to the heavy flooding.
The lack of public policies and the corruption of the regime has led the country to suffer the consequences of an obsolete model. The floods that different states in the country have suffered in recent months has been the responsibility of the dictatorship, given the ineptitude and lack of maintenance of public infrastructure.
