The Deputy of the National Assembly (AN), Nora Bracho, assured this Saturday that the report presented by the rapporteur of the United Nations (UN), Alena Douhan, contradicts the document published by the Commissioner for Human Rights (DD. HH.), Michelle Bachelet, on the humanitarian crisis that Venezuela is experiencing caused by Nicolás Maduro’s regime.
“The report presented by the rapporteur Alena Douhan contradicts the one presented by Human Rights Commissioner Bachelet on the reality of Venezuela,” she said this Saturday through her personal Twitter account.
The parliamentarian for the state of Zulia said that Douhan did not expose the crimes against humanity that the dictatorship and its allies perpetuate against the Venezuelan people.
“The sanctions do not persecute, arrest, torture, kill or make Venezuelans migrate, this criminal regime does,” she concluded.
This Friday, Alena Douhan, a UN rapporteur, offered a report on the situation in Venezuela. During her presentation, she defended Maduro’s dictatorship and expressed that the sanctions enacted by the United States are the reason for the deepening of the crisis in the country.
