Piero Maroun, deputy to the National Assembly for the State of Monagas and head of the Democratic Action Fraction that is part the legitimate Legislative Branch, delivered medical supplies, biosecurity equipment and food to the local section of the Medical College of the state and is destined to the health personnel that faces the COVID-19 in the east of the country.
Maroun said that this contribution was possible thanks to the support of the Venezuela-Taiwan Parliamentary Friendship Group, and recognized that although it does not cover the need of the physicians, it is a grain of sand to keep a group of them safe from the contagion of the pandemic.
“It is time for solidarity,” reiterated the parliamentarian while also thanking the private sector that supports this initiative. In this sense, he called upon the state’s businessmen to support doctors, who are currently unassisted in the midst of the most serious crisis that Venezuela and the world are experiencing.
For his part, Hugo Febres, president of the Medical College of Monagas, explained that the food delivered will be destined to give lunches to residents of various health centers.
