The Deputy of the National Assembly, Marco Aurelio Quiñones, commemorated the 454 anniversary of Caracas remembering that it was one of the most imposing and respected cities in the region.
“Caracas reaches 454 years since it was founded, it has been known as the ‘one with the red roofs’, the ‘Sultana of El Ávila’, the ‘branch of heaven’ and the one that set the example to follow for our independence,” he said.
However, the parliamentarian regretted that today the capital of Venezuela is abandoned by its avaricious rulers.
“Caracas is the headquarters of indolence. It is mired in garbage, chaos, violence and oblivion. Just the same as the rest of Venezuela,” he said.
Finally, Quiñones assured that “the tough fight to rescue the capital is also part of the battle to save the country from the destructive influence of Maduro’s corrupt regime.”
