The President of the Justice and Peace Commission of the National Assembly, Delsa Solórzano referred to the progress in the investigation process led by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for crimes against humanity committed by Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship.
“After the preliminary examination, which lasted 3 years, the peak moment of the ICC process is where we are today,” said Solórzano.
The President of ‘Encuentro Ciudadano’ party explained that arrest warrants can currently be issued against those people against whom there is sufficient evidence.
For this reason, she insisted that it is at this stage that justice can begin to be done with the victims of Maduro’s criminal regime.
On November 3th, the ICC Prosecutor Karim Khan, announced during his visit to Venezuela that he will initiate a formal investigation into crimes against humanity committed by officials of Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship.
