The deputy of the National Assembly, Delsa Solórzano, reaffirmed that the Legitimate National Assembly has firmly promoted the investigation carried out by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against officials of the dictatorship.
“We represent more than 200 victims. For this reason, it is necessary to insist that the regime, with its statements, only seeks to ellude to the jurisdiction of the ICC,” she remarked through her Twitter account.
Last Sunday, May 9th, the parliamentarian assured that Nicolás Maduro’s regime does not seek to do justice for the crimes committed in the country which violate the rights of Venezuelans, but on the contrary, it only wants to save itself from the judgment of the International Criminal Court (CPI. ICC in Englush).
Given this, she denounced that the regime has created a new defense, trying to send a message to the international community that in Venezuela there was only one violation of human rights and that this violation does not constitute a crime against humantity and that it is being prosecuted in the country.
“Defending the regime is not not saying that they committed a crime, it is to say that there was only one violation of human rights and that this violation does not constitute a crime and that it is being prosecuted in Venezuela,” she declared.
