The deputy to the National Assembly, Delsa Solórzano, affirmed that flattery (to Human Rights Organizations) by Maduro’s regime will not solve the political, social and humanitarian crisis facing Venezuela.
“The regime does not realize that flattery does not improve human rights reports,” said Solórzano after the most recent reports by the Fact-Finding Mission and the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
The parliamentarian for Encuentro Ciudadano recalled that Maduro’s regime received the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights with commemorative acts, but once the report was published, it was totally ignored.
“They flattered Michelle Bachelet a lot and now they call her ‘tarifada’ (sell out),” she indicated.
Finally, the deputy chief of the Unity parliamentary fracrtion affirmed that “the situation in the country will improve only with the departure of those responsible for the commission of crimes against humanity from power.”
