The Deputy of the National Assembly (NA), Armando Armas, reported on the release of his mother, Nidia Cuartin, 76 years old.
“Dear (friends). My mother is already at home. She was interrogated by alleged officials,” he said Saturday through his personal Twitter account.
The parliamentarian added that his mother will not give statements about the kidnapping orchestrated by officers of Nicolas Maduro’s regime.
Armas also thanked all those who denounced the event. He gave special thanks to his colleagues in the NA, the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), Luis Almagro, the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (UN), Gabriela Cuevas, and Colombian Senator Paola Holguín.
This Saturday morning, an alleged CONAS commission raided the house of the deputy’s mother, located in Lechería, Anzoátegui State, and carried away Cuartin to testify.
Estimados. Ya mi madre en casa. Fue interrogada por presuntos funcionarios.
No dará declaraciones.
