The first vice-president of the National Assembly, Juan Pablo Guanipa, highlighted the work that Venezuelan journalists are doing by continuing reporting despite the repression exercised by Nicolás Maduro’s dictatorship.
On the occasion of the National Day of the Journalist, the Zulia deputy dedicated a few words “to those who with poise and courage practice journalism in our country.”
“It is not easy to communicate and tell the truth in a dictatorship,” he said.
Guanipa concluded by saying that “our journalists also face the regime on a daily basis despite persecution and censorship, that is brave.”
