The Deputy of the National Assembly (NA), Piero Maroun, denounced the gasoline crisis that has worsened in the state of Monagas.
“There are 13 municipalities tired and in agony without gasoline, gas, water, while you only send fuel to Maturin,” the deputy said Tuesday to an official of Nicolas Maduro’s regime in Monagas.
He also explained that the state authorities were at the peaceful protest in Via Nacional Maturin-Punceres and Punta de Mata, only to take pictures of the vehicles that were part of the roadblock.
“Why do they do it? To intimidate? People have the right to demand,” he said.
He also warned that public officials would be responsible for any attacks on the cars that were photographed or the citizens who were in the protest.
Maroun insisted that the Monaguenses are tired of the abuses of the dictatorship and that he will stand by the citizens who are affected.
“Monagas is one of the first oil producers in the country and has no reason to be in these conditions,” he ended.
