The deputy to the National Assembly Leonardo Regnault spoke on Monday in the name of Primero Justicia Party, in support of workers who are protesting in the streets for better wage conditions, also reiterated the call for national mobilization that will be held this 16th of November.
“To recover the working conditions of the workers, it is necessary to depose the regime, however, there is also a struggle from different unions and guilds demanding wage increases”, he said.
Regnault recalled that the regime’s response to the demands on the salaries of health workers, for example, was to attack them in the vicinity of the central hospital in Maracay, “but that will not stop them.”
“We also want to support the struggle of the teachers’ union that has carried out two major strikes of 24 and 48 hours and are headed for a 72-hour strike. Of the nine federations that this union has, eight have joined these calls and we have seen their resolve on the street”, he recalled.
The parliamentarian said that the regime has also assaulted educators, as happened in the immediate vicinity of the Ministry of Education, “however teachers are still struggling.”
“This struggle that we have been advancing, is combined with the support of democratic nations, as happened recently with El Salvador, with the decision of President Nayib Bukele to expel the representatives of the usurpation and recognize the representatives of the president in charge of Venezuela Juan Guaidó.
He stressed that with this international and street pressure the viability for a change in the country can be achieved, “in this sense we want to convene for this November 16th, all Venezuelans must take to the streets, the change in the country does not depend only of a group, it depends on each and every one of the Venezuelans who suffer the misery of this illegitimate regime, who suffer the needs, who suffer violations of their Human Rights through FAES, which is an extermination agency.”
“We want to vindicate the social struggle that will continue in the streets and also thank the nations of the world that support freedom for Venezuela, we thank President Nayib Bukele for his decision, we also want to summon the Venezuelan people so that united this November 16th throughout the national territory, let’s go out to continue mobilizing and achieve freedom as a single force”, he concluded.
