The first vice president of the National Assembly, Juan Pablo Guanipa, denounced this Friday that Venezuela has the lowest salary in the world, while assuring that hyperinflation and the high cost of living produce the destruction of salary and employment.
Furthermore, Guanipa blamed Maduro’s dictatorship and its accomplices for the economic crisis in the country.
“The regime has driven the workers to the worst level of destitution. They have destroyed jobs, salaries, the bolivar, everything,” the parliamentarian said in a message posted on his official Twitter account.
“The regime, with its worst cynical attitude, is announcing a salary increase so that Venezuelans will not be paid $2 a month but $4, and pensioners will be paid $2,″ he said.
Similarly, the parliamentarian recalled that his political party, Primero Justicia, has proposed giving $100 to Venezuelan families so that they can adequately attend to the pandemic and has planned the creation of the Fund for Life, which would be fed by suspending debt payments to China and Russia, reducing military spending, stopping the giving away of gasoline to Cuba and repatriating the corruption money.
“For these actions to be possible it is essential that Nicolas Maduro leaves power, that he retires from the presidency that he usurps,” he added.
“We must fight to eradicate the misery to which we have been subjected,” he ended.
