Deputies of the Venezuelan National Assembly sent this Monday a message of prevention to all Venezuelan women on International Breast Cancer Day, .
The deputy for the State of Lara, Angel Torres, insisted that it is of utmost importance to create awareness among the population regarding this issue, while adding that given the internal crisis that the country is experiencing, prevention and awareness are of vital importance.
“To examine oneself in time, is to be cautious, this disease does not distinguish sex, race, color or ideologies”, highlighted Torres through a message in his official Twitter account.
The parliamentarian Luis Stefanelli commemorated through his social network Twitter all the women who fight or have fought with breast cancer and reminded that this type of cancer represents 16% of all cancers in female patients.
On her part, Congresswoman Manuela Bolivar, denounced that Nicolas Maduro’s regime is responsible for the death of all breast cancer patients in Venezuela who have not had access to treatment and/or tests.
“210 women die per month in Venezuela due to breast cancer according to the Venezuelan Anticancerous Society. In view of the lack of medicines and the high costs, it is necessary to prevent and perform self-examinations,” she expressed through a message on her official Twitter account.
Likewise, Congresswoman Delsa Solórzano stressed that currently women suffering from breast cancer in Venezuela do not have state support.
“Our recognition to the NGOs that provide support to those who need it and have assumed this task with nobility”, added Solórzano through her official Twitter account.
Finally, Representative Piero Maroun said that a day like today is to support all the warriors fighting against breast cancer.
“This month of the roses is one more impulse to fight for the right to health that belongs to all of us. Those who fight against this disease need us,” he said through his official Twitter account.
“Together for health and life,” he concluded.
