Henry Ramos Allup, a deputy in the National Assembly, denounced that groups from sent by the dictatorship, together with officials from the Special Action Forces (FAES), violently took over the headquarters of the political party, Acción Democrática, in La Florida.
“Both, the CEN of AD in La Florida, our national headquarters, and the CES of Caracas in El Paraíso were attacked by heavily armed gangs of scorpions, supported by uniformed officials of the FAES and ‘colectivos’ in bikes sent by the regime,” Ramos Allup said through his official Twitter account.
The MP also stressed that “AD will not be controlled either by edicts, bribes or by intimidation”.
“Our party is guided by a feeling of commitment from our leadership and militancy that will not go down on its knees or be part of a fraud,” he said.
Similarly, the secretary general of the AD party assured that “all the adecos of Venezuela will firmly defend their symbols, their houses and the flags that gave and will return democracy to Venezuela.
Finally, Ramos Allup launched an appeal to the Maduro regime. “Keep thinking that with an electoral ‘sainete’ (comedy) that no one will recognize, you will win something. Keep thinking that by buying scorpions you will succeed in neutralizing the committed militancy of all the democratic parties”.
“As long as this regime remains in power nothing will improve”, he concluded.
