This Sunday, 200 days of the kidnapping of Roberto Marrero, head of the Presidential Office of Juan Guaidó and national leader of Voluntad Popular Party, who was arrested by the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN) on March 21, 2019, and remains in detention in the headquarters of the political police in El Helicoide.
The National Assembly, the only legitimate institution in Venezuela, demanded on behalf of the majority of parliamentarians the freedom of the Director of Office of the President, Roberto Marrero. “His kidnapping is an attack on Parliament, it is a direct order from Maduro.”
“Marrero’s case is in a legal limbo from the moment of his abduction on March 21 at the hands of SEBIN officials. The date of his trial has not yet been set by the court”, they added in a message posted on the social network Twitter.
“The Director of the Office of the Presidency is imprisoned on Maduro’s orders, as confessed by the former Director of SEBIN, Cristopher Figuera,” they remarked.
Marrero in the month of March was arbitrarily removed from his home. He is investigated for his alleged link with crimes that involve violence to the constitutional order and the promotion of terrorism and violence, including the attempted murder of the president.
Through the social network Twitter, national and international personalities, deputies of the National Assembly, among others, expressed their solidarity and asked Nicolás Maduro for his immediate freedom, as well as that of the other political prisoners in Venezuela.
